Course material is not written once and left alone. Rescue technique, CPR sequences and first aid protocols are periodically revised as the underlying guidance changes, and the people credited on this page are part of how those revisions are checked against practice rather than only against paper.
Program content follows the Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code, a CDC-supported body whose guidance covers aquatic facility operation and safety, and aligns with Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements for workplace emergency response. Where those two change, the course changes with them, and the affected material is reviewed by instructors who are actively teaching it.
